Shane Lechler

Texans cut Shane Lechler today 8/31/18

Date is 5 weeks 3 days before SB53

9 days before Texans play Patriots on 9/9
He wore # 9

It was 24 days after his 42nd birthday

RSR: 113-273 (286)
Playoffs: 5-5
Overall: 118-173 (296)

His last playoff game was a L to the Pats
Score 34-16
-16th prime = 53
-SB53 played on 34 d.o.y
Texans finished 10-8

Last game L to Colts 22-13 (35)

He had 49 career passing yards
SB53 = 49th of modern era
Last year he averaged 49 yards per punt

Threw 1 TD for 35 yards
This was when he was 35 years old
Raiders defeated Browns 24-17 (41)

He was drafted in 2000 like Brady
Lechler went 142 overall by the Raiders

Pretty sure Brady's now the last left from that draft which is why I'm making the post this could be foreshadowing the last season for Brady

  2. final playoff L to NE
    34-16... that's 7-7 (77)
    Brady born in '77.

almost got the MNF jets/lions game done.
working on a preview of every team, also want to do the SNF

just in loading/updating all the data for the Patriots, I'm liking them to lose to the Texans in week 1.
Brady starts this season 37 days after his 41st bday.
37... #12, 37 playoff games, "Patriots" = 37, first SB score totaled to 37... and that SB score was 20-17, like 2017,
and if they are indeed finished then 2017 will be the season of their final SB appearance (SB52) and the year the SB was played of their final SB win (SB51)... and this week 1 will be Brady's 17th week 1 start in a row... AND they finished the preseason by scoring 17 points... AND this is their 59th season...

he was the 33rd pick (6) of 6th round (66)
and his next loss is his 66th all time loss...
definitely final year I'd say- win lose or draw.

and if they lose to HOU, it's their 407th all time loss, and the game is 47 weeks before Brady's bday...

and it would be his 56th regular season loss,
and if he throws one touchdown he'd be at 560 all time.

    but who knows.
    cheers!

  3. That's an interesting theoary about their first SB score 20-17 then 2017 being the last good year of the dynasty. I leaning towards 2018 being Brady's last year but unsure if it will end on a good or bad note.

I'm trying to find Belichicks Record vs former assistants but not having any luck.

Look forward to your Lions Jets breakdown!
